    • Synopsis
    • In 1930’s Puerto Rico (like nowadays), the Yankees are buying everything up. And when they can’t buy, they simply take it. So when Junior Walker sees Pura and wants her as his wife, he sends his men to kidnap her. What he wasn’t expecting was her husband to be Juan Encarnación; once the most feared foreman and skilful machete fighter. Encarnación will fight all of Junior’s goons to reunite his family, while Pura is being lured by the riches the Yankees offer. In the end, Pura and Encarnación will fight to keep their family (and homeland) intact from the colonizers.
