    • Synopsis
    • Oliviero Rising tells the story of Oliviero, an Italian immigrant, who having spent thirty years in America building a family and riding high on a prestigious social ranking secured through his wife, is suddenly called back to Italy to tend to a matter of inheritance. Informing the real motives of Oliviero, however, is a personal agenda that is much more critical to the themes and conflicts of the film. Troubled by a deep internal crisis, he embarks on the trip with his family in the hopes that a return to his roots and a re-immersion in the setting for his birth and early youth will give him the strength to find his true self and a new perspective on life.
