    • Synopsis
    • The Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games were postponed for the first time in modern Olympic history due to a global pandemic of a new type of coronavirus infection, and on July 23, 2021, one year later than originally scheduled, the Games opened amid a whirlwind of controversy and controversy over various problems and issues, including the still-unresolved coronavirus outbreak, the first-ever non-spectator games, and a string of resignations by officials. In 17 days, 339 events were held in 339 competitions, the most in Olympic history. The official documentary film is a two-part film, "SIDE:A" and "SIDE:B," which closely documents the extraordinary Games and the 750 days and 5,000 hours leading up to the opening of the Games. In contrast to "SIDE:A," which focuses on the athletes on the front stage, this film focuses on the non-athletes, including those involved in the Games, the general public, volunteers, and medical personnel. The film depicts people tackling difficult missions by showing the backstage, which never rests, as they face various challenges even after the start of the Games.
