The film tells the story of Brazilian federal judge Odilon de Oliveira, the greatest organized crime fighter in Brazil. He was responsible for the imprisonment of drug traffickers, who offer millions for his head. Therefore, he lives more confined than the criminals themselves, as his own prisoner.

    • Synopsis
    • In a time when judges are seen as either the country’s heroes or corrupt and massacred by society, what can this man's unbelievable, heroic journey teach us as a society?
      The purpose is to show, through Odilon's life, the price of being incorruptible. For over 20 years, he has lived in a situation similar to house arrest. One of the floors of his home is federal police quarters, where agents work in shifts as police escorts 24X7. Odilon has already received several death threats, and organized crime bosses have formed a pool, where the price on his head has reached 2 million reais.
      The story of the film follows the life of Odilon, and portrays his daily living surrounded by federal agents for simple activities like going to the market or picking his grandson up from school. Odilon's choices have placed him in a private prison. And, along with him, the judge inevitably condemned his family to living with the same risks and lifestyle. For example, the life of his wife Maria Divina is even more confined than that of her husband, since the armed escort is exclusive to Odilon. She spends practically all her time at home, leaving very rarely to run short errands.
      To contextualize this story, the film opens its chronological structure with controversial interviews with family members, professional colleagues such as the President of the Senate in Paraguay, Roberto Acevedo, federal police agents, family employees, sociologist and former president of Brazil Fernando Henrique Cardoso, and even famous criminals such as Fernandinho Beira Mar, showing different sides of the issue guiding the law and drug and gun trafficking in Brazil.
      Finally, in order to support and enrich the narrative, we will alternate the use of stock images and graphic arts, representing the history of his childhood, imprisonment of major drug traffickers, and lectures given by the judge on safety and the importance of the family relationship as a key factor to avoiding the world of drugs.
      At the end of 2017, Odilon will file for retirement and will lose the right to armed escort.
