- Synopsis
- German teacher Maruna runs the local pub. It doesn’t look like she’ll ever get married, since there aren’t many suitable men in her small village: the indecisive mayor spends most of his time in a hunter’s blind waiting for his stag, the childishly naive Olin is seen by the others as a harmless village idiot, and roofer Kódl chases after every passing skirt. Maruna’s troubles also include her domineering mother, whom she looks after along with her sister Jaruna.
