    • Synopsis
    • Troubled by the worsening political climate of the late 1930’s, a Lithuanian geography professor convinces the prime minister to establish a tropical colony overseas that should serve as an emergency exit for the nation in case of attack. Lulled by the illusion of paradise on earth, the geographer fails to admit a gradual break-up of his own family that mirrors the collapse of the country.
