    • Synopsis
    • NOT AN ARIST follows Alice (Alexi Pappas), an aspiring writer who secures a spot in an exclusive artist residency. Upon arrival, she learns that the program is less of a creative haven and more of a high-stakes competition—where those who 'lose' must abandon art forever. To make matters worse, her kind but clueless father (Matt Walsh) crashes the residency, looking for a free place to stay. As Alice navigates eccentric fellow artists and her own family chaos, she’s forced to confront the ultimate question: does she have what it takes to be a 'real' artist, or should she just call it quits? Packed with quirky characters and irreverent humor, NOT AN ARTIST is a funny and heartfelt exploration of creativity, authenticity, and the absurdity of it all.
