    • Synopsis
    • The musical documentary “Noel Rosa – a living spirit” searches for traces left by the composer in the Vila Isabel neighborhood, in Rio de Janeiro. The artist died at the age of 26 in 1937 and left a legacy of almost 250 songs. The film creates parallels between past and present, especially due to the way in which samba and the figure of Noel Rosa mix to this day around his creative cradle. Voices from former partners, such as Cartola, Aracy de Almeida and Marilia Batista, join those of current performers, such as Dori Caymmi, Moacyr Luz, Mart’nália and Edu Krieger, among others.
