- Synopsis
- A gifted medical student, Keity wants to continue the family tradition and become a surgeon like her mother and grandmother. But when her first operation takes a dramatic turn, she buckles under the pressure. She has no choice but to accept an internship at the morgue. Haunted by her failure, Keity starts seeing her grandmother’s spirit appear to her in tropical daydreams. All the while, Keity tries to adapt to the morgue and to the colorful characters — both living and dead — that she meets. Through caring for her deceased patients, she learns that life can sometimes lead one down unexpected paths. A deeply human and sometimes funny exploration of death, family legacies and the meaning of failure.
