- Synopsis
- A deeply disturbed yet brilliant young woman from an unnamed country finds her way into the world of central banks and high finance, after finishing her PhD studies. Influenced by a hardened terrorist and longstanding guilt stemming from the death of her father, she concocts a high-tech scheme to trigger a global economic meltdown, to get attention for her cause. She partners with wealthy backers to manipulate financial markets, by creating a shadowy hedge fund and using insider information from her job as a young analyst at the International Monetary Fund in Washington, D.C., to engineer a financial crisis.
