    • GYPSY MOON (Lena Headey) is fascinating and perplexing; a tough and sexy burlesque dancer by night, and an intellectual aspiring novelist by day. A nomad currently living on the outskirts of a small town, she is on the brink of her breakthrough novel with a publishing company - the promise of a brighter future ahead and an escape from her dark past awaits.

      However, when the family next door is brutally murdered by a crime boss, JACK (Sam Worthington), who also happens to be her crazed ex-boyfriend, her world is upended. By mistake, the thugs left the 11-year-old precocious, whip-smart boy, SAM, and the family’s loyal dog, MOSES, alive. Knowing the thugs will be back for Sam, she realizes she is the only hope for the boy to survive and get to his uncle in Canada.

      In a nail-biting, action-packed ride across state lines with Jack and the thugs hot on their tails, Gypsy becomes not just a protector to Sam, but a new motherly figure as she learns to open up about her dark past and grows closer to him - the markings of a family that both Sam and Gypsy have lost.

      But there is no escaping Jack. He won’t give up until he gets them both, dead or alive. With nowhere to hide, Gypsy and Sam realize the only way to escape is to team up and fight back.
