    • Synopsis
    • The new biographical film by Yannis Smaragdis retraces the life, the eventful journeys of the Greek writer Nikos Kazantzakis, in search of his soul through the places he adored, the personalities he admired and the ideologies he has adopted, but which disappointed him. Condemned by the Greek Orthodox Church for his subversive views on the Christian religion, but universally regarded as a modern giant of Greek literature, Kazantzakis has been nominated for the Nobel Prize nine times.
