    • Synopsis
    • It is a full-length documentary film of creation. Honoring the life and work of the great
Spanish-Argentine actor, Don Narciso Ibáñez Menta.
From the first images it is possible to appreciate a broad and firmly archaeological work that has as aim, to uncover the different aspects of a mysterious personality, in the horror, epic and dramatic genre in Argentina and Spain.
A film diagramed in blocks that initiates with “Narcisín”, prodigy child, who already at the age of three was surprising and summoning for his charisma and acting freshness, that, together with his parents theatre company, obtains a total recognition, being the first figure.
To kill the child's actor type-cast, Ibáñez Menta needed a monster and so he turned into one, as when he did “The ghost of the opera “or” Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hide “at the theater. His great inspiration was the North American actor Lon Chaney, and just like him, he was the man of a thousand faces, being constituted, without argument, into a reference in the art of makeup and characterization.
An elegant and enigmatic presence, a record of marked low voice and cavernous tonality, a slow talk, close to a ferrous professionalism, are the added value for the worrying stories that he represented. He achieved an almost hypnotic relation with his public, that forged the sublimation of his own fears, and the audience in consequence, rewarded him with their eternal unconditionally.
An audio-visual tour through his principal plays (" The death of a traveling salesman ", "FB"), TV: "The phantom of the opera "; "The man who returned from death "; "The damned doll"; “The black octopus ". He worked in 25 films: like in "Almafuerte", “Masterpieces of Horror","The beast must die", “Night of the Werewolf”, etc.
The diversity of testimonies of gigantic personalities of entertainment, who have worked with him, besides movie fans, specialists and passionate spectators of his work, added to the unpublished file material, take us of the hand, to a tour of fictions and experiences, worthy of a movie character.
A man who wanted to be immortalized through his plays, but that was type-caste in magnificent and bizarre horror stories. Ibáñez Menta passes to the abstraction and lives in the collective memory of the people, while he enjoys his dramatizations in the limited audio-visual record that remains
For the human being, an actor and a gentleman, with great sense of humor and tenderness. For him, this movie is our tribute.
