- Synopsis
- Emma is a doctor at the local hospital and has the sole responsibility for her two daughters. She´s diagnosed with advanced lymph node cancer and predicted maximum two to three months left to live. Emma has never told anyone why she left her husband, with whom she is still formally married and begs her best friend Frøydis to care for their daughters after her death. Frøydis insists she formalises the divorces. Emmas exhusband works up north and Emma sets out on the challenging journey. He refuses to sign the sermon papers and Emma realises the only way to save the girls future is to get him convicted for domestic violence before she dies.
  
  Partner violence, regardless of whether it is psychological or physical, is a serious crime and not a private matter but a costly societal problem both personally and financially.
