    • Synopsis
    • Born in Rio and settled in France since 2013, the director, Filipe Galvon, immerses himself in his memories of the last ten years. He retraces the events that have shaped his experience as a Brazilian and as a forgeigner in France : Bolsonaro's election in Brazil and the Yellow Vests protest in France in 2018 and the seemingly inescapable rise of extreme right movement on both side of the Atlantic.

Searching a way to tell his journey, he travels from his first steps in Paris, during the early 2010's, to his settling in a small town called Tulle in French countryside. In this remote region, he discovers the working class' disillusion by meeting its old and new inhabitants, including Neto, a young Brazilian who fled his country after new President's election.

From this personal journey, Next Year in Tulle brings out the current state of democratic crisis.
