    • Freddy, Warren and Aiyana, with her best friend Joyce (a Caucasian in a hazmat suit), embark on a midnight looting mission and sneak into an overgrown forbidden area of Rapid City where they are confronted by a dangerous gang of Non-immune, hazmat-wearing survivors led by Spunge.

      Meanwhile, Carol works with depleted resources in the hospital, taking care of condemned children and other patients infected with « boomerang smallpox ».

      After fighting off the Non-immune gang, the Native American teens are separated from Joyce who is hunted down and kidnapped by Spunge, leaving the others desperately searching for her. Racing back to the Rapid City Reserve, Freddy and Warren intend to tell their father Dan what happened, but instead witness the murder of Chief Billy, shot by an unknown assailant.

      Later, Joyce is ditched at the hospital, bleeding from an apparent assault, and discovered by Carol who must contend with the wrath of Joyce’s mother, Denise. Misunderstanding a delirious Joyce, Denise blames Freddy and Warren for what happened and rushes to the Reserve with her husband, Ed. At the same time Freddy and Warren arrive to report the Chief’s murder. Ed and Denise accuse them, but their calls for “white justice” are quickly shut down by Dan and Chatan, with the help of Miguel, a Mexican hunter who is a new face at their gathering.

      After Ed and Denise storm off, Freddy and Warren pull Dan aside, tell him about Chief Billy and they all go to investigate with Carol, Chatan and Takoda. Finding the Chief’s body, Dan andChatan push for immediate elections to hold the Reserve together.

      In the meantime, new threats are emerging beyond the Reserve. The Non-immunes plan a rebellion, and the Mexican Army crosses the former US/Mexico border, bound for South Dakota.
