    • Kei Tamai (33), an assistant producer at a regional TV station, is trying for a baby with her live-in boyfriend Yoshi (33). He says he’ll marry her once she gets pregnant, has given up his dream of making it big as a comedian, and frequently skips work, which has gradually cooled Kei’s feelings for him. She secretly takes contraceptives, and devotes herself to her job. One day, Kei’s irritation with the whining Yoshi reaches a peak, and she starts to walk out on him. In desperation, he tries to stop her by dropping a bombshell: “I’m pregnant, so let’s get married.” As Kei’s career and relationship go off the rails, she is forced to confront her own obliviousness.
