- After the death of her husband, Ruth (59) and her family continue their lives as best they can in the neighborhood of Villa Crespo, a neighborhood where the "progressive" middle class settled in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
  
  Ruth copes with her pain thanks to massage sessions with Gus (33). He is Mexican, he arrived in Argentina a few years ago after working in different Latin American countries. He is a seemingly unattached man, he has several mistresses, including Anabel (36), Ruth's eldest daughter.
  
  Anabel divides her time between her children, her work as a psychologist, the fights with her husband and the encounters with her lover. And Paulita (29), her youngest, drowns in a depressive well calming her anxiety with binge eating.
  
  Little by little, the duel is left behind. Ruth starts doing things for herself like going swimming, changing her look, dedicating herself to her passion, cooking, and starts an affair with Gus. First they are casual encounters but love surprises them both. To Ruth that she believed that after the death of her husband she would find another man, and to Gus that she never believed in romantic love. Love injects them with new energy, Gus deepens her esoteric studies and Ruth begins to set up her first Jewish food restaurant.
  
  On her part, Ruth's daughters are also coping with the death of her father. Paulita meets someone in a dating app with whom she begins to profit from sexual sources on the internet and Anabel begins therapy with her husband to overcome the couple.
  
  The scandal breaks out when Ruth decides to bring her boyfriend to Shabbat dinner, and the truth comes to light. Ruth's new boyfriend is Anabel's lover. The family structure explodes into a thousand pieces and everyone ends up fighting with each other. Ruch goes into crisis, feels betrayed by Gus and reconnects with the sadness of grief. Gus tries to get on with her life but can't stop thinking about Ruth. Anabel and her husband separate, and Paulita has her binge again.
  
  Ruth and Anabel meet again in a Jewish feminist group, and both change their way of thinking and decide to share Gus. He first accepts, seduced by seeing Ruth again, but he feels like an object and decides to return to Mexico to reconnect with her roots.
  
  Ruth becomes aware of the importance of her love for Gus no matter what they say and offers him a long-distance marriage. After going back and forth, Gus decides to come back and they bet on their love by celebrating at Ruth's new restaurant.
