The film brings us up close and personal with Ruben Blades, his music, and the stories behind the mythical songs that have made Latin America and the world move to the rhythm of Salsa while being infused with thoughtful lyrics.
  Along a six-month period director Abner Benaim follows Blades in his daily life, documenting concerts, tours and rehearsals; conversations and casual situations from Panama to New York, with a unique and intimate access to the artist..
