    • Synopsis
    • Drink, play, love. Paradise was where you went to forget it all. Or so you hoped. Minori (Nana Eikura) works herself to the bone as an editor for a publishing house. So when one day an old friend appears and asks her to plan a second party to follow her upcoming wedding in Hawaii, Minori jumps at the chance for a little life R&R by convincing her editor-in-chief to publish “yet another” guidebook to Hawaii. Off she goes, at company expense, on an adventure to escape her life of incessant work without promotion and the no good men that surround her. There she meets and instantly connects with a Japanese woman named Akane (Rin Takanashi) whom she hires as her local guide. They wine and dine together, and attend sumptuous parties of the rich and famous. They meet Tsutomu (Koji Seto), a starry-eyed entrepreneur, and Tomoya (Ryo Kase), an enigmatic, eco-conscious beach bum, as well as hints of budding romance. Together, they laugh, cry, get rip-roaring drunk and revel in Hawaii. If only things could stay this way forever without ever having to return. Until they wake up one morning confronted, once again, wit the reality of their lives. Minori however has come to Hawaii determined to put everything behind her and walk in whatever direction moves her. But what awaits her at the end of that path? The life I was meant to lead, the path I wanted to follow… maybe it’s to be found here.
