- Synopsis
- A story of survival and the plight for independence of the Griqua, most of them descendants of the indigenous people of Southern Africa. But it is also the story of great but ruthless hunters, the Bergenaars, with a twitch to becoming robbers, thieves, murderers and traitors overshadowed by betrayal and lust.
  
  This is not where life counts when it comes to eliminating entire bushmen clans, even if one of the Griqua captains, Andries Waterboer, was a bushman child when saved by the missionary William Anderson.
  
  Given up resistance to the pressure from the South, mainly through land invasion by the colonial farmers pushing the Khoekhoe herders further to the north in search for pasture but also by men escaping the law, trying to be as far remote as possible from the colonial authorities ruling the country, Khoekhoe and others joining the migration of the many looking for a better live in the North.
  
  This is still the wild dark continent of Africa where nothing and everything seems to be possible.
