    • Synopsis
    • 1964, Kyushu, Japan. Six-year-old Cherie witnesses her 'father' Genko Kawasaki, a notorious Yakuza crimelord, brutally murder of her mother Sakura.

Genko is arrested and put in prison. For her protection, Cherie is sent to Australia, adopted by a cop and his wife.

1989, Brisbane, 25 years later, Cherie is now a mother and pharmacist. Unexpectedly, she receives a visitor from her tragic childhood past.

The stranger reveals himself to be Kenji Kubo, the former best friend of Genko. And, as it turns out, Cherie’s 'biological father'. He’s back to protect her because Genko has been released from jail.

To avoid capture, Cherie’s husband, Steve Williams, a mechanic, acquires a motorhome from his work.

Despite the protest of their kids, six-year-old Mikey and teenage daughter Christina, the Williams go on the run posing as a family on vacation. After saving Cherie from an assassin, Grandpa Kenji joins them.

Always lurking in the shadows, Genko tracks the family, waiting for the perfect moment to capture Cherie. At every twist and turn the Williams outwit the Yakuza madman.

On this road trip from hell, if Cherie is to protect her loved ones, she must confront her violent past and be careful who she trusts.

The Williams must put aside their differences to survive. They form an unexpected bond with Kenji, who may not be whom he seems.
