    • Synopsis
    • In Germany, more and more people are disappearing. Behind the mysterious missing person cases are no suspected wolf attacks, but vampires, which have their origin in the Middle Ages. Montrak (Sönke Möhring), a former burgrave, is condemned to vampire existence by a ring transformed by Lucifer. When he is hunted by humans, he has no choice but to be killed so that the myth vampire is forgotten. But Montrak's subjects (Adam Jaskolka, among others) secretly create a new vampire master, who in the future will bring the country and its army into chaos for good. Only a small group of people (including Dustin Semmelrogge) get in their way ...

With "Montrak" a unique vampire myth is created, which is deliberately located in Germany. The story takes place in two levels of time: in the Middle Ages and in our times. Thus, in addition to a classic "count history", there are also the "vampire gang", as known from "Lost Boys" or "Near Dark". The film pays tribute not only to the harder vampire films from the past days (people long for), but in general various classics and pearls of Phanatasischen film - especially from the 80s.
