- Synopsis
- MONSTER HOUSE meets MONSTERS VS ALIENS… with some more monsters.
  
  Nerdy, unpopular MARINA relieves the crushing dullness of life in Munndaine, the world’s most boring town, by making up vivid, fantastical stories about her very ordinary neighbours.
  Then one day her mother is kidnapped. And the town’s glamorous beauty products salesladies are revealed as assassins, coming after Marina with bejewelled automatic weapons.
  Desperate for help, Marina discovers that everything she imagined is actually true. The residents really do include a Russian naval captain with a submarine in his basement, not to mention Bigfoot, a Roswell alien and the Loch Ness Monster.
  And of course, there’s MR CURLICUE. Marina thinks he’s a vampire, but he seems to be really what he claims he is - an agoraphobic, scaredy-cat accountant.
  Which is a problem when Marina and Mr Curlicue have to go on the run, hunted by the beauticians in their pink tank.
  Can Marina find her mother and save the day – and will Mr Curlicue actually bite someone?
