Awaiting her there is the husband to her dead mother, Charles, a surly and seemingly haunted man.  Anni realizes there is much more to her mother’s death than she knew and she sets in motion a dramatic chain of events which ultimately leads her to the shocking discovery of why she had to flee India all those years ago.
