    • Synopsis
    • In Mission Impossible X.0 Kurdwin Ayub portrays two teenaged girlfriends from the village of Schwechat near Vienna and their comical, tragic and heart-rending attempts to grow up in a world that syncs with the dynamics of social media: Instagram, WhatsApp and likes or the failure to give them. One wrong click and you’re dead! While the girls’ lives turn into an emotional rollercoaster, what’s left of the world’s old order is thrown into confusion. Parents suffering from burnout try to find stability in their unstable children. A false impression results in chaos. Even the heavens fail to provide normality, and as a result, a skiing course without snow ends up as an adventure playground for “real” life. Inevitably, it also turns into a scene of media excess.
