This documentary is an account of poet, Luis Cernuda’s stay in Mexico, from his arrival in 1952 to his death, in 1963. Its content centres on the analysis of two of his books of love poems: Where forgetfulness dwells, inspired by Galician actor Serafín Fernández Ferro, and Poems for a body, dedicated to body builder Salvador Alighieri. The testimonials by several Spaniards living in exile in Mexico, by Salvador Alighieri and by Antonio Rivero Taravillo, his biographer, help to construct a portrait of the man and creator. They also lay new foundations for a more profound perusal into the work and complex personality of Generation of ‘27’s most up- to-date poet.
