    • Synopsis
    • A loud bang. Metallic, loud, piercing – as if emanating from within the planet. The sound haunts Jessica (Tilda Swinton in a phenomenal role), attacking her during sleepless nights, and surprising her in the most unexpected moments of her trip around Colombia. This sound scares, but also fascinates her. Has she lost her mind? Apichatpong Weerasethakul surprised audiences at the Cannes Film Festival with an unusual, very original philosophical treatise. Memoria is a transcendental, hypnotizing journey - a story about individual and collective memory (memory of everything?), about a secret, invisible bridge between the present and the past, about the contemporary world that seems cultured, artificial and that can be easily infected (even with a virus). It is a dream-movie, a cinematic odyssey, a unique sensory, audio and spiritual experience. It is a film that stays with the viewer forever.
