- Synopsis
- Max lives with his ‘owners’, Rut and Javier, on the 12th floor of a block located in a coastal town. Life in his fishbowl is a pleasant one, a dream for anyone, be they human or animal: eating for free, doing nothing and watching television all day with no-one to bother him.
  But one day something happens that changes his life for ever. An accident caused by the cleaning lady sends him flying into the street. He falls calamitously in his fishbowl, which shatters into a thousand pieces as it hits the ground. Max floats unconscious in the little stream of dirty water on the pavement and slips down the nearest gutter.
  Still stunned from the blow, he gets dragged along by the river of waste that runs through the drains under the city, until he’s dumped into the sea, where he recovers consciousness and looks around in astonishment.
  Who’s put salt in the water? What time do we get fed round here? Where’s the television? Why do other fish want to meet him? And why is there so much rubbish down there? Lots of questions and not many answers! Until he starts making new friends who gradually help him: Octubre, elegance in the form of an octopus; Clark, who is to become his best friend; Bibi, the oyster who is an expert in conspiracy theories; Doc, the crazy healer, and Bruce, the Korean fish who thinks brawn is the way to fix everything.
  
  Max always keeps in mind the idea of going back to his old life, in his comfort zone, but for now there’s nothing for it but to live his new life, take risks and meet new creatures of the sea. The others always see Max as ‘the fish who doesn’t want to live in the sea’, but deep inside he’s beginning to feel something he’s never felt before, because he’s living the greatest adventure of his life.
