Synopsis
An intimate portrait of the life of Robert Mapplethorpe, one of the most controversial and influential photographers of the 20th century. Coming of age as an artist in decadent 1970’s New York, Robert’s work ranged from elegant flowers and forms to graphic S&M scenes. With these works he electrified the contemporary art world and immortalized a generation ravaged by the AIDS epidemic.
