    • Synopsis
    • After 53 years of marriage, Manuel Rodríguez and Elisa Flores are still living where they were born, in El Rosal,a tiny village in Galicia, on the northern border between Spain and Portugal.
Their hands are worn by years of labour, yet their old age is not stopping them. Day after day, their calm and disciplined life together is limited to going about their many daily chores: making the beds, cutting firewood, burning the grass cuttings, going for a stroll after lunch, feeding their cats, shovelling spadefuls of earth, mending the trailer of their tractor…
Manuel and Elisa is a documentary about their everyday exploits; a love story about life together without
the need for too many words.
