- Synopsis
- A fisherman, Pedro Chão, a man of bad character, individualistic and unruly, appears injured and without memory in his riverside community. The villagers accuse him of stealing and try, in vain, to get him to recover his memory and return the money. In a popular trial, a plot involving embezzlement of public funds, domestic violence and sexual trafficking of local young people comes to light. Sentenced to isolation, he wanders the community in search of a place of his own. A new meaning of life is reborn when, through the construction of an unusual contraption, he finds something fundamental in the strength of the collective.
