    • Synopsis
    • Maestà, the Passion of Christ is the first long feature of the French artist Andy Guérif. It consists in a film adaptation of "The Passion of Christ", a 14th century polyptych of 26 panels painted by Sienese master Duccio di Buoninsegna. Thanks to the split-screen technic, the whole cycle of the Passion of the Christ is re-interpretated by actors, in a setting that reproduced the primitive perspectives. One after the other, each panel hosts a part of the story, and the coherence of the painting blends in the movement, giving a new perspective on the painting.
