    • Stunningly creative directing talent Josephine Decker offers a career best with MADELINE'S MADELINE, a unique and breathtakingly immersive third feature starring Molly Parker, Miranda July and standout newcomer Helena Howard.

When Madeline joins a prestigious theatre group, director Evangeline knows she’s found her star. Effortlessly talented, Madeline has an uncanny ability to pour herself into every role. But something isn’t quite right; Madeline’s stopped taking her medication, and her grasp on reality has started to slip. As fiction and reality to blur, Madeline is in danger of losing herself completely. Her mother Regina begs her to take a break, but Evangeline wants to push her even harder – perhaps beyond her breaking point.

Formally distinctive and mesmerically shot, this is a bracing and intimate portrait of a mother-daughter relationship tested by ambition, mental illness, racial tensions and the pressure of growing up in modern-day New York.
