- Based on the original novel by Eça de Queiroz “Alves & Cia.”, – about Godofredo Alves, a rich businessman of São João del Rey (Brazil) at the end of the 19th century. One day, Alves finds his beloved wife Ludovina in the arms of his partner Machado. From that moment on, Alves' world collapses and his life changes into hell. “LOVE & CO.” tells in a very humoristic way the story of a man betrayed by the people in whom he trusted. He is a man tortured by a dilemma: what is more important in life, fight for your love or defend your own honour?
