- Synopsis
- Life, death and a journey of love set across the breathless scenario of the southern-border States, stretching from California to Louisiana.
  There’s something unwieldy between Sarah and her two year-old Johnny. Maybe because he is not her son, but the son of her cousin who just left for a long, over-due honeymoon.
  Soon the secret thickens. Friends around Sarah begin to sense quandary and the woman finds herself isolated in an attempt to have a loving, almost obsessive, relationship with Johnny.
  She abandons a comfortable life in Los Angeles and sets out on a road trip across the country. Chet, a curmudgeon local farmer, helps Sarah when her car breaks down. They share a similar past and soon become friends. She reveals to him that Johnny is a child that she has
  fostered for a few months and now Social Services want to give him back to his unfit parents.
  Sarah befriends young runaway Alex. With Johnny they head to Florida where a job as a stripper awaits the young girl.
  The darker past of Sarah slowly surfaces. A few years ago, Sarah lost her daughter Laura and her unborn son, Johnny, during a car accident for which she was partially responsible. The road trip that she is undertaking is one that she planned with her daughter but was never able to take.
  As they arrive in Cajun Country, Louisiana, the truth come to light with tragic consequences… Sarah has kidnapped Johnny from a very loving couple desperate to have their son back.
