- Little Joel wanted to become a Capoeira teacher, he died in 2010 as he was sleeping in his own house in the neighborhood of Nordeste de Amaralina from a bullet shot by military policemen, who not only killed the kid but also refused to save his life. An odd coincidence marked this story, assuring it wouldn’t become one more statistic: Little Joel had his life stolen by the same state which had used his hansome image a couple months before for a tourist propaganda under the slogan: “Bahia, land of happiness. “ The documentary analyses the exponential growth of homicide rates in the state of Bahia, as well as focusing on the state’s military police’s preparation.
