    • Synopsis
    • Spain in the early 1800s. For 17 years, Lucia "La Llanera" hasbeen imprisoned. Every year, she was taken to the garrote,pardoned at the last minute each time. Finally, she is setfree, as is her son Juan, born and raised in her cell. For thefirst time, she will show Juan the outside world, though nothis father. Lagartijo, bandit of all bandits, died in the sameshowdown that got Lucia behind bars so long ago. Now, shemust realize that she and Juan are but pawns in the handsof the powers that be. Captured by Aceituno’s gang ofoutlaws, they are to be sold to none other than Lagartijo.The legend is alive! No one knows, however, that allcompeting gangs of bandoleros are part of a bigger scheme.The King wants to eliminate them all. Try as they may to livethe freedom they have been denied for so long, Lucia andher son find themselves in the midst of a manhunt, whileJuan falls in love for the very first time.
