    • Synopsis
    • Jeremia Juunas Kirotaja, a Soviet Army deserter who was declared lost in action during the Afghan War, is returning to Estonia to attend his father’s funeral. On his way home, he stops in a small town where his ex-wife used to live. During his short stay there, Jeremia is drawn into a chain of events which seem beyond his control. He tries to remain a bystander but fails because the place is run by the women of the town. They control what happens next. Or is it just in Jeremia’s head – it is hard to tell. Even his daughter Angel whose cry he once heard on the phone in Afghanistan may turn out to be a fantasy, a jeremiad in the head of a Muslim man.
