    • Synopsis
    • Part 1 - 25 km 600 m. Wandering

The action takes place inside a car. Spouses are aimlessly driving around the city at night. Mad with his wife’s frivolous flirting, the man realizes that on his way of achieving social success he turned from a human into a function. This is driving him out of temper, so that he picks a prostitute from the street, infuriating his wife. The tragic finale is a form of a backlash for ultimate conformism and opportunism in the consumerist society, in which the characters of the film subsist…

      Part 2 – 14 km 350 m. Escape

Successful merchant Hadji Agha is the next owner of the stone, who’s forced to flee from his native town with his family in order to escape the Turkish troops. The film is set in 1915. All the carriages are taken, and the well-off family of one of the wealthiest people in the town is left with no other choice but to escape in the local butcher’s tightly packed carriage. Leaving his own sister Hadji Agha promises to come back for her the next day. However, on their way through the plains a horseman tells him about the latter’s death. They put the house on fire and hacked his sister to death in the front yard. Tormented by remorse, Hadji Agha refuses to move any further and decides to stay in the plains at night. Only the she-wolf accompanies him until a group of Turkish soldiers who fell behind the rest of the troops embark upon his path…

      Part 3 – 7 km 25 m. Path

This last part of the film is set to take place on the day of the great Grigor Narekatsi’s decease in 1003. Through the dark forest in the dead of night peasant Hovsep has to carry his only dying son to the holy hermit. No one knows if the latter is alive or not. The she-wolf with her pack catches up with Hovsep in the dark forest. The man sacrifices his only mare to pass the rest of the way dragging his dying son to the hermit’s cave through the severe snowstorm…On his last legs Hovsep drags his son’s breathless body to the hermit, finding the latter near death…It is where he finds the strange stone with the circle white blob…
