- Synopsis
- Leafie is a hen confined to a chicken farm for laying eggs. However she holds fast to her dreams of escaping out into the yard and finally succeeds in escaping. Leafie runs into Wanderer, but is jealous when she sees him being affectionate with Milky Duck… Milky Duck is attacked by One-eye, the weasel. At the couple’s nest Leafie finds a pretty white egg that she carefully sits down upon to keep warm. One night, Wanderer dies protecting his egg in a bloody fight with the weasel but just before he dies, he tells Leafie to go to the swamp after the baby is born…
