The undisputed “King of Le Mans” is the dashing German driver, Andre Lotterer. Racing for Audi, the three-time winner is a master at fighting off pretenders to his throne but, this year, will the hunter become the hunted?

His main challenge comes in the form of Aussie Grit, Formula 1 favourite Mark Webber will lead the charge for the Porsche team – back at Le Mans after a long absence and determined to win back a race that was synonymous with their brand. Webber himself has so-far failed to even finish the race in three attempts and has come close to death more than once on the track, at his training camp he reflects on how many more rolls of the dice he might have…

At the other end of the racing scale, is 23-year-old Jann Mardenbrough a rookie in the top class LMP1, whose route to the driver’s seat came via his sofa as the winner of a PlayStation competition. As unconventional as Mardenbrough himself, the Nissan team he races for are going for broke with a radical, and untested, car design. With virtually zero hours of driving time, what hope can they really have to conquer the Mount Everest of motor racing?

Focussing on the 2015 race – one of the closest and most thrilling for many years – and with unparalleled access behind the scenes, what plays out is a truly thrilling and memorable story of racing guts and glory with endless twists and turns along the way for all the teams… This is racing seen as a battle for survival.

Using state of the art technology, this is racing – shown on the big screen – as it has never before been seen.

As Steve McQueen said, "When you're racing, it's life. Anything that happens before or after is just waiting."
