- Synopsis
- Jeanne is an old lonely lady. Time has passed and her life became surpriseless. After a certain age, days start being simalar to another. But, the 3d August, doesn't look like another day. Jeanne got up with the chirping blackbirds and is now about to prepare a picnic. A bit later, Michel, as old as Jeanne, is joining her. They are packing everything in the luggage compartment. The octogenarian couple is driving away towards an unknown destination. The morning's light seems to promise a beautifull day, but this expedition could be the last they'll ever do. On a rest area, next to the highway, they almost run over a child. A bit later, they loose the car's key. They all of a sudden decide to abandon their car and to step into the forest. On the way, after having had a rest, Jeanne is falling asleep. When she finally wakes up, the sun has fallen down and her husband has disappeared. Darkness is crowding now the forest. Only the firefly are glowing upon it.
