- Synopsis
- The film LANDSCAPE WITH A WOMAN was most immediately inspired by naive painting. Using the idiom of pure cinematic expression, with a profound feeling for painting within man and the countryside, this film tells an everyday story about the great conflict between an unusually sensitive and visionary individual and his environment whose interests were of the elementary everyday variety. There is a clear stylistic intention which Ivica Matic uses to convey his message: it is the logical harnessing of the natural and artistic awareness of life and of the world, the only real theme of this film. In achieving this, it may be unhesitatingly said, he had an irreplaceable and valuable collaborator in the person of cameraman Karpo Acimovic Godina.
