- Synopsis
- Racalmuto - Sicily, is a little village and home-town of the writer Leonardo Sciascia.
  During the night a Madonna, speaking with a foreign accent, appears in Alfonsina Milletarì dreams. Alfonsina is just a simple woman, a school janitor. In the next few days all the people in town, excited by the news of this holy apparition, like in one of Pieter Bruegel artwork, start a research of this Madonna. The characters through old and new conflicts, will finally bring to light the truth of a family secret, buried for years under the roots of an ancient olive tree.
