Synopsis
The daily violence that racked the city of Ayacucho during a period of terrorist activity has meant that Josefa, an elderly woman, has passed on a strange disease known as “La Teta Asustada” (The Scared Breast) to her daughter Fausta (Magaly Solier). This strange belief, an existing myth from our mountain range, manifests itself as a contagious disease transmitted by the milk of mothers who have been raped or mistreated during their pregnancy or nursing period. The children of these women are irremediably infected by their terror and grow up with an atavistic fear that they will also transmit the disease to their children and, thereby, all their descendants.
