- Synopsis
- A tormented mother, Crystal searches for her family history in a slave plantation turned museum in Trinidad. When things go awry, she tries everything to escape the ghostly estate and return to her estranged son. But unnerving occurrences cause her to question her unsettled mind and also the other individuals in the house. Memories of a horrific accident haunt her as a demoness, La Diablesse, feeds off of her trauma. But La Diablesse wants much more sinister than just that.
  
  Through the exploration of a mother's love for her child, La Diablesse film gives backstory and depth to a revered Caribbean folklore character from Trinidad & Tobago's French-creole history, a coming-together of French colonialism and West-African enslavement on the island in the sixteenth and seventeenth century.
