- Synopsis
- The action takes place in a suburb in Lille (north of France). Ali, a 20 year-old boy, meets Djamel who is 10 years older than him. Soon, Djamel becomes his mentor and exerts a moral authority on Ali and his friends. Djamel is a fundamentalist and claims to represent a righteous Islam. A charismatic leader, he manages to twist the boys’ minds and isolate them from the society they grew up in. Djamel will lead them along a tragic path which will greatly affect the lives of these young men and their families.
