- Synopsis
- Dileep plays a lawyer Balan with a stutter which incapacitates him as a lawyer. Though very intelligent and legally informed, he’s an utter failure as a lawyer due to his stammering. In his life, a crucial incident happens when his crooked brother-in-law (a police inspector) brings a girl to him who narrowly escaped molestation by a rich businessman while attending a job interview at his residence.
  The inspector convinces the girl not to charge a case, but to send a legal notice seeking a fat compensation, which she hesitantly agrees. Though our hero initially resists this idea, but finally agrees to send the legal notice because his father is financially obliged to his brother-in-law.
  Three days after Balan sending the legal notice, the entire state of Kerala is riven by utter shock; the legal notice has been served to none other than the DGP at his Tharavadu address which hardly anyone knew. The DGP has a perfect alibi on the day when the incident took place. The entire police force goes after the lawyer.
  Balan is threatened by his brother-in-law not to reveal his involvement (he was also taken for a ride by that girl). He wants Balan to say that the girl in question approached him and he rendered his legal services without knowing that the notice was addressed to the DGP. Balan is now genuinely frightened and he starts stammering while questioned by the police.
  The Police produced the girl from the address given in the legal notice. To Balan’s utter shock it was not the girl who had approached him with the case. The girl who’s taken into custody says she hasn’t filed any complaint against the DGP. When the police asks Balan to identify the girl who approached him, he had no option but to say ‘yes’ to save his brother-in-law and himself from complications.
  The innocent girl who comes out of the police custody chases Balan and tells him that until he proves her innocence, she won’t let him go. Balan is morally compelled to stand by her. Thus

  begins their journey together. How they solve the mystery and find in each other a reliable companion is the rest of the story.
