    • Synopsis
    • MAX ROYSTER, an unconventional private detective, is working for a larger-than-life defense attorney, SKIP COSSEE, when he accidentally causes a hostage’s death.

      Skip has decided to run for governor against MALCOM ROSS, a machine politician, dead set (literally) against any opposition. Skip begs Max to be his muscle, but Max remains adamant as he continues to live his secluded tugboat life. Until Skip’s secretary, a beautiful but enigmatic woman, AMERICA TRIGO, steps aboard the tug.

      Very soon Max falls in love with her. Very soon she is murdered by killers unknown. Max re-ups with Skip and plunges into the dark side of New York politics in a quest to bring her killer to justice.

      And very soon Max finds his life spiraling out of control as the investigation turns him upside down and inside out.
